Investiture Ceremony - 2024

Delhi Public School, Indore held the Investiture Ceremony- INSIGNIA, on July 27, 2024 to induct the newly appointed Senior and Junior School Councils for the academic session 2024-25. The Principal,Mr Parmindr Chopra welcomed the Chief Guests Sapna Lowanshi, Upper Collector Indore and Brigadier Sunil Fadatare, Chairman Army Public School, Mhow and the Guests of Honour  Lieutenant Colonel Jude Alex, Directorate of Counter Terrorism, Headquarter Integrated Defence Staff, New Delhi and Colonel S.P.S. Bali. Military Training Academy, Mhow and Staff Officer to the Chairman, Army Public School, Mhow who graced the two segments respectively. The programme was attended by parents of students from pre-primary to grade 8 in one segment and grades 9 to 12 in second segment. It was an overwhelming moment for everyone to witness the council members smartly arrayed in sashes and badges taking the oath  to uphold the values of their Alma Mater and the trust reposed in them administered The Principal Mr Parmindr Chopra.

 The council President s, Anushree Rao and Giriman Kohli accepted the oath on behalf of the council. The Chief Guests in their speeches congratulated the students and motivated them to use their experience in school as a training for future leadership. The occasion was peppered with euphonious music presentation along with enthralling dance performance. The Vice Principal,  Ms Jyoti Nambiar, the Headmaster, Mr Rajesh Kharve, the Headmistresses Ms Sheena Grover and Ms Urmi Banerjee along with the House Wardens were present to motivate the students. The ceremony concluded with the vote of thanks by the newly elected Head Girl and Head Boy of junior and senior segments.

Investiture Ceremony - 2023

Foundation for leadership is laid in the formative years in school. The Investiture Ceremony of Delhi Public School Indore was held on August 1, 2023 surrounded by an aura of enthusiasm, expectation and joie de vivre. The newly selected Student Council for the session 2023-24 was sworn in cheered on by parents who had joined to celebrate the occasion and bless the children.

The programme was presided over by Col RS Saroop, Vishisht Seva Medal awardee for his exemplary service in the Indian Armed Forces. Mrs Asha Nair, Principal, Mrs Vaishali Kharnal, Headmistress Delhi Public School Rau, Indore were the special guests. Director, Academics, JSWS Group of schools and acting Principal, Dr Dharam Verma, Vice Principal, Mrs Jyothi Nambiar, Headmistresses, Mrs Madhvi Bhale, Mrs Urmi Banerjee and Senior Coordinator, Mrs Indra Aggarwal graced the program and motivated the students.

A cultural bonanza consisting of song, dance added verve to the solemn occasion. Col Saroop exhorted the students to choose the hard right against the easy wrong as a leader is a beacon and people look upto him. There have been many such leaders in the world and in India who are still loved and followed by millions. Mrs Asha Nair encouraged students to use the golden chance to explore their capabilities and bring laurels to their school and make their parents and teachers proud.

Dr Dharam Verma encouraged the council members to be the best leaders and strive for excellence. It was a grand moment when the student council members lined up for the oath taking. The oath was administered by the Principal and accepted by the President, Student Council, Bhavya Diwakar wherein the members of the council promised to uphold the dignity of their posts and the values of the school. The vote of thanks was proposed by The Head Boy, Aditya Kumar and Head Girl, Nandita Sood.

The most auspicious ceremonial occasion of the school, INSIGNIA – the Investiture Ceremony for the academic session 2022-23 was solemnised on August 5, 2022, with verve and vigour. The event took place at the Castle of Dreams in the school premises. Investiture Ceremony is one of the momentous occasions when the school entrusts hope, faith and the mantle of responsibility to the newly appointed Students’ Council.

Brigadier Rajeev Ohri VSM the Chairman of Army Public School Mhow graced the occasion as the Chief Guest along with the Director School Academic Development Jagran Social Welfare Society Dr Dharam Verma, honourable Principal Mr Ajay Sharma, Vice Principal Ms Jyothi Nambiar, the Headmistresses Ms Madhavi Bhale and Ms Urmi Banerjee.

Donning the mantle of accountability, the young leaders, comprising Pakhi Banerjee the President of Students’ Council, Krishna Mishra the Head Boy and Vaishnavi Dubey the Head Girl, pledged to perform their duties to the best of their abilities, as they were conferred with the badges and sashes by the dignitaries.
Brigadier Ohri VSM congratulated the students and urged them to be impartial and honest in discharging their duties ensuring they uphold the values. The Principal Mr Sharma while administering the oath to the council reminded them to live upto the school motto – Service before Self.

The cultural programme including a soulful musical rendition and a foot tapping dance number added hues of vibrancy to the event.

The ceremony concluded with the Head Boy Krishna Mishra and the Head Girl Vaishnavi Dubey proposing the vote of thanks.
